-Mugen-

Since announcing Yuna to be next on my Mugen roster, I have gathered over 100 image references just to get her idle stance made perfectly. Her prime sprite is still being built however. I often make different prime sprites of a character before I decide on which one works best, and I haven't even finished the first attempt yet.

I did however, stumble upon on a source for all Final Fantasy X voice lines, so that'll take care of Yuna's intro's and victory animation dialogue. Not to mention, I can update Auron to finally have the voice lines I've always wanted him to have. I had, predictably, more roadblocks in June than I'd care to stomach. As I said in last month's post, I'd like to have concentrated on Mugen too, but I needed to focus on Twitch for the month.

-Update On The Video Tutorials-

I, was, going to surprise you with a new video tutorial around the last week of June, but the AI website I use to make Raven's voice lines went offline, permanently. They came out with a more "advanced" version of it, but personally, I don't consider it superior. So now I have to train Raven's voice all over again before tutorials can continue >n<. It didn't keep my builds after they migrated to the new site.

-Small Updates-

My Twitch reel is now available to preview on this site, here in the "Extra" tab https://crashmind.wixsite.com/mugenbangers/otherstuff. For the app I've developed, which I call Chat Friends (working title), I finished some animated characters for the core of my Twitch viewers, and included sound effects and little emote expressions for them if you type in a key word.

For example, if you type something out like, "I love this part," a heart will rise up from your avatar. It's a small thing right now, but using the same principles, I can grow it into something really special. I want to make it a preferable alternative to Stream Avatars, which doesn't always work with OBS updates. Plus, Stream Avatars is kinda finicky when building things for it. And most of its functionality is complicated and largely unknown to most users.

-Twitch-

I hosted my birthday stream on Twitch, which ended up being the greatest stream I've ever had so far, despite the aftermath. I even had my first hype train. People thought it was hilarious watching my face as I forced down tequila shots. You can watch me get completely shitfaced here if you're curious: https://www.twitch.tv/pulloffprime/v/2490675308?sr=a. I currently have 83 followers, with my usual vod of around 30-50 reaching my first 100.

I did almost die though. Aside from the extreme alcohol poisoning, I later slipped on my bathroom mat, cracked my face against the side of the toilet and when I woke up the next morning, had dry blood all over my swollen face. It took about a week to recover. Next year I'll probably stick with my usual glass of whiskey.

-July Plans-

I finished three playthroughs in June. Zelda Ocarina of Time, Evoland 1 and Alice: Madness Returns. I'm now moving onto a first time playthrough of Chrono Trigger on Sundays, a first time playthrough of Copycat on Mondays, and a Blind playthrough of Onimusha 2 on Tuesdays. I got myself a massive haul on Steam during the Summer Sale, and I couldn't be happier with the games I grabbed. I'll keep working on projects like Chat Avatars, experimenting with what's possible but I wanna try directing more time back to Mugen.

June was a really rough month for me, but it definitely felt like I wasn't the only one going through something. I almost died, and my brother almost died a couple days later. I continued running into failure after failure. Even things that were working, I had to rebuild because they suddenly decided to join in with the whole, "not working," thing. July SHOULD be different though. I have vacation time coming up, so I'll be spending all of it on development. I'll take a stay-cation over a vacation anytime, every time.
