Their Discord has also returned. Oldgamer is done with Mugen, at least for a while. Will he back one day? Only time will tell (probably not). With his Mugen partner Arika also leaving due to time constraints, the mantle is being passed to a guy you may or may not know, Death_47. They asked me to co-host the site with him, which was nice of them to offer, but I simply do not have the time. I imagine a lot of changes will occur with the style of jusmugen, especially due to the shortened staff. Besides, new staff always means new culture. A new style.

On my end, I've done a little bit regarding the next mugen fighter. There were sprites I had made live while streaming, but due to all the ingredients that comes with streaming, the work suffered. Instead of making taking my time, zoning out, taking a break, leaving, coming back, finding references on the fly instead of having them prepared and hoping they would serve well enough, I had to do it then and there. the content shines when I'm able to just vibe and enjoy myself.

I recently finished Wandersong (best game I played all year), Planet of Lana, Sword of the Sea, Onimusha 2, Jet Set Radio and... another one I don't remember for some reason.

Chat Stars

My new app I'm developing, Chat Stars, has reached alpha 1.0. That means, now your avatar can start or join a party of 1-4, and battle enemies that currently don't attack back. I added in the enemies being randomized within levels, and... levels, for both enemies and players. They mean nothing now, but it's ready for when I build into it. It's come far in a single month. It's mainly why I haven't been working much on Mugen. I'm trying to grow into a successful streamer so I can quit my day job, and then I'd have all the time I'd need for more Mugen fighters.

September

I'll keep working on Chat Stars, but unfortunately, I got a call for jury duty. So right now everything is even more up in the air than usual. Hopefully, providing proof that I literally cannot financially afford to do jury duty right now with appease the overseers. It'd be nice to make more Mugen sprites or do some more tutorial videos, but we'll see where it goes. I got a lot off my plate in August that I had been dreading with Chat Stars, and now that the race is finished, I'm kinda catching my breath before assessing what comes next.
