September was a productive month for Link's development. The list of animations for him are already 50% complete. But this is far from accurate with how much work of him is left to do. The majority of these animations only needed one sprite, whereas the future animations require at least 4-6 minimum. Still, it's exciting. The month was devoted to completing his basic movement animations, and as a bonus I was also able to complete all of his damaged animations.

Many of the individual damage sprites were repurposed for various circumstances by combining them together in different ways. Past characters were progressed through this manner as well, but for whatever reason, it flowed more naturally with Link. Next up for him is his taunt, intro and victory animations. I tried to make his taunt once already but ended up repurposing it elsewhere in his move list as a special. I have a better taunt animation in mind anyway.

I made Midna's idle animation, and it looks awesome. It's nice to see her again, even if she's just a fictional character. At the end of the month, I ranked up on Mugen Archive. I'm officially a Commander now. That was very awesome. I can't wait to really get into the grind with Link, which takes place after the intro and victory animations. But again, I'm doing the taunt first. And what I have in mind is also pretty animated for a taunt, but will work really well if I can pull it off.
